Jessie E. McKnatt, 63, a resident of Florence, MS died Monday, January 2, 2017 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Funeral services will be held 1 pm Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with interment in Crestview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 12 noon Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. H.B. Floyd will officiate the services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Mrs. McKnatt was a native of Crystal Springs, MS. She is the daughter of Gus Minga and Jessie Mae Hobson Minga. She was married to Grover McKnatt. Mrs. McKnatt was a dog groomer for many years and enjoyed her profession. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. McKnatt was preceded in death by her parents, Gus Minga and Jessie Mae Hobson Minga; brothers, David and Larry Minga; sisters, Patricia Spence and Dorothy Clark.
Mrs. McKnatt is survived by her husband, Grover McKnatt; daughters, Nickey (John) Kirkley and Sharon Whitney Hanania; brothers, Bobby Joe (Joan) Minga and William Minga; sister, Wilma Dean Furlow; two grandchildren, Kady Hanania and Ayedan Parente; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
A memorial funds has been setup with Community Bank, Jessica Nicole Kirkley DBA Jessie Evelyn McKnatt Memorial.
