Mrs. Jessie Oleta Roberts, age 92, a resident Woodland Court in Newton, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 following an extended illness.
A native of Canton, TX, Mrs. Roberts was born November 11, 1924 to her parents Columbus Knowles and Allie Burns Knowles. Her family relocated to this area and she has resided here for many years. She was a Baptist. She retired from Sunbeam Manufacturing, Inc. after many years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; John Mark Roberts.
Survivors include her son, Steve Roberts (Ida) of Union, MS. 1 sister, Marie Yates of Horseshoe. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren; Amy Smith, Jessie Watkins, Ashton Nowell and Autumn Roberts.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Crossroads Church of God.
