Jessie White Sr.

Jessie Lee White Sr., 76, a resident of Brandon, MS, passed away Fri. July 2, 2021 at his home in Brandon, MS surrounded by all of his loved ones. Visitation will be held on Mon. July 5, 2021 from 12pm-1:45pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm on Mon. July 5, 2021 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Brandon Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS.

Mr. White was born on Feb. 26, 1945 in Ruleville, MS to the late Charles Edward White and Alethea Wheeler White. He served his country with the Military Police in the U.S. Army National Guard. He had a long career with WSLI and WJTV 12 and also retired from Fowler Buick. Mr. White drove a Rankin County School Bus for 11 years and drove all of the Brandon Show Choirs to their state destinations. Mr. White loved playing sports and also loved coaching his children. He enjoyed gardening and loved to cook all the fresh vegetables that he grew. Mr. White enjoyed meeting people and never met a stranger. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Mr. White is survived by his wife, Jo Ann White; three daughters, Leigh Ann Williamson (Jeff), Lorie Tharp (David) and Amy Lee; two sons, Jessie White Jr. (Paula) and Michael White (Faith); sister, Janie Tate (Lyle); 10 grandchildren, Luke Warren, Maggie Warren, Hunter Middleton (Jenna), Hannah Little (Drew), Brooke White, McKenzie Zattoni, Kelsey Miner, Karlee Miner, Jalee White and J.C. White; 4 step grandchildren, Ryan Williamson, Brad Williamson, Adam Tharp (Briana) and Paxton Tharp (Lindsay); 3 great grandchildren, Anna Scott Warren, Wesley Grey Warren and Rowdey Middleton; 3 step great grandchildren, Sophie Williamson, Paisley Little, Walton Little. Mr. White is also preceded in death by his son, Jason White; grandchild, Matthew Gray Warren; brother, Thomas E. “Buddy” White and a sister, Charlotte Griffin.
