Mrs. Jewel Risher, age 85, a resident of Pearl, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Mississippi Care Center in Morton.  Visitation will be  held 5pm-8pm Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and will be held 1pm-2pm Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held 2pm Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Sims Hill Cemetery.  Bro. Tal Vardaman will officiate the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mrs. Risher was born in Scott County on July 31, 1933.  She loved to cook and spend time with her family.  Jewel loved her grandkids and family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, AP Tadlock and Lillian Squires Tadlock; sons, Michael Risher and Reggie Risher; siblings, Eddie Mae Skelton, Neal Tadlock, Billy Ray Tadlock, Leon Tadlock and Arthur Tadlock.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Weathersby of Florence and Mark Risher (Rhenae) of Pelahatchie; siblings, Roger Dale Tadlock (Pat) of Morton, Oscar Tadlock (Annette) of Morton, Benell Ramsdell of Brandon, Lavern Layton of Morton and Sarah Franklin of Pearl; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Brad Risher, Adam Risher, Guy Sledge, David Risher, Will Weathersby and John Hertel.

Memorials may be made in her honor to Sims Hill Cemetery Fund.
