Jimmy Cooper Beasley passed away peacefully at Ponchatoula Community Care in Ponchatoula, LA, on January 30th, 2024, at the age of 72. Jim was born on September 22, 1951, at Pelahatchie Clinic in Mississippi, a town with a small population of 1,000 people. Jimmy Cooper Beasley Sr. and Marjorie Dell Beasley were the proud parents of their first born.
The family moved to Louisiana and made Denham Springs their home. Jim was warmly welcomed to Denham Springs High School when he showed his skills at track and field, and football in his early 9th grade year. Jim’s love for football would be with him his entire life be it playing or watching. The relationship with his coaches continued years after his high school years were over. Their friendship was always held dear to him. Jim was honored to be inducted into the Denham Springs Hall of Fame. When his health failed him in the last years watching football on tv was a great past time.
Jim is survived by his brothers Billy Beasley, Collier Beasley (Mickey) Duke Beasley (Paula). He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelly Marie Beasley, his parents Jimmy Cooper Beasley Sr. and Marjorie Dell Beasley.
We would like to thank Ponchatoula Community Care for the care given to Jim over the last few years.
