Jimmie Little Brown passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.
Jim was born November 20, 1940 in Howard, AL to James Homer and Elsie Kilgore Brown.
He grew up and attended school in Florence, Al, graduating from Coffee High School in 1959 and Florence State College (now known as University of North Alabama) in 1964.  Jim joined the Army and served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Vietnam War until he returned home in 1966.
Working in the corrugated box industry for over 40 years, Jim retired in 2011 from Great Southern Industries after 21 years of service.
Jim loved to hunt and fish and one of his greatest pleasures was being a member of Coldwater Hunting Club in Attala County.
He is survived by his wife, Gwen Pettigrew Brown; his brother, Charles Wayne Brown (Nancy) of Killen, AL; son, James Robert Brown (Margie) of Mobile, AL; daughter, Deborah Adelia Winchester (Lee) of Milan, TN and Darby Ann Williams (Dean) of New Bern, NC; grandchildren, Zachary Winchester, Nicholas Winchester, Carley Winchester, Ashton Harris and Bryce Harris.
Visitation will be at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, April 21, 2017.  A Memorial Service celebrating Jim’s life will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
The family would like to express extreme thanks to the nurses and therapists of Mississippi Home Care and the nurses and doctors on the 6th floor of the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS.
