Jimmie Dee Franklin, 87, passed away on Sat. July 2, 2011 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be held Wed. July 6, 2011 from 4pm. to 7pm. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. A private memorial service will be held for the family at a later date.
She is survived by one daughter, Kay Franklin Oilschlager (Ken) of Oxford, MS; one son, Paul L. Franklin Jr. (Sandra) of North Carolina; grandchildren, Kristy Oilschlager Cohron (Bryon) of Oxford, MS, Franny Oilschlager Kavin (John Paul) of Cordova, TN, and Chris Franklin (Melanie) of Oxford, GA; three great-grandchildren, Carson Kavin, Dylan Cohron, and Will Franklin; two sisters, Frances Tucker Drew (Bob) of Covington, LA, and Beth Tucker Smith (Connie Mack) of Collinsville, MS and one brother, Donald Tucker (Lena) of Meridian, MS. Mrs. Franklin was preceded in death by her parents, James S. Tucker and Frances Ella Doerner Tucker Long; a brother, Julius Tucker and a sister, Johnnie Ann Tucker Bailey.
