Jimmie Lee Minton, 87, passed away March 1, 2017 peacefully at her home in Richland, MS. Visitation is Friday, March 3, 2017 from 5 until 8 pm and 9 am Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Richland, MS. Funeral Services are 10 am Saturday, March 4, 2017 from the Chapel of Ott & Lee with burial in Richland Cemetery. Rev. Kevin Jones will officiate the Service and Nick Minton, Rusty Minton, Danny Lee Skelton, Jason White, David Minton, and Stephen Minton.
Jimmie Lee Minton was born on July 6, 1929 in Simpson County, MS to the late Robert and Jewell Terry Smith Warren. She had been a Rankin County Mississippi resident for more than 66 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Richland for 66 years, as well.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James N. Minton, Sr.
Survivors include two sons, Nolan (Nancy) Minton and Bryan Minton both of Richland; one daughter, Teresa Bethany of Nashville, TN; one sister, Ondean Hampton of Mendenhall, MS; nine grandchildren, Stephen (Deanne) Minton, David Minton, Lauralee Minton, Rusty (Karen) Minton, Julie (Jason) White, Nicholas Minton, Danny Lee Skelton, Rachel Skelton Phistry, and Sara Beth Skelton DeKoff; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
