Mr. Jimmy Ray Harrison, age 83, and a resident of Pulaski passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clayborn Huff officiating. Interment will follow in the Gasque Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Monday, February 26, 2018 at the funeral home and on Tuesday from 9:00 am – 10:30 am prior to the funeral service.
The Scott County native was a self employed logger and a member of Gasque Chapel Methodist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by one son: Jeffrey Harrison and his parents: John Homer and Alberta Harmon Harrison.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years: Mrs. Sue Stephens Harrison, one son: Benny Ray (Lisa) Harrison, and one daughter-in-law: Kathy Harrison, all of Pulaski; four grandchildren: Corey Harrison, Christie Harrison, Brittany Martin, and Kimberly Harrison; two great-grandchildren: Isaiah Harrison and Riley Grace Martin; two brothers: Johnny Harrison of Pulaski and Virgil Harrison of Raleigh; and two sisters: Odell Richardson and Billie Gibbs, both of Pulaski; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jason Richardson, Albert Harrison, Brian Martin, Jimmy Dale Richardson, Johnny Stephens and Glen Hayman, Jr.
