Mr. Jimmy Dale Holmes,
age 66, a resident of Morton passed away on July 2, 2013 at his residence.
Visitation was held Thursday, July 4, 2013 from 6-9pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Funeral service was held 10am Friday,
July 5, 2013 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in the Midway
Cemetery.  Rev. Bob Ellis and Rev. Paul
Smith will officiate the services. 
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in
Morton.
Jimmy Dale is retired
from the Madison County Sherriff’s Dept. 
He was loved by family and friends and always loved helping others.  He will be missed by all who loved and knew
him.
He is preceded in death
by his parents, George and Luree Holmes; brother, Thomas Wayne Holmes;
granddaughter, Lacey Matthews.
He is survived by
daughter, Dalette Matthews of Jackson, MS; sisters, Marie Jackson of Morton and
Betty Fleming of Brandon; 3 grandchildren, Savannah Matthews (Ben Kolve) of
McKinney, TX, Sterling Fortner and Dylan Fortner of Anna, TX and great
granddaughter, Lacie Kolve; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.   Jimmy
Dale’s loving caring ways gave him the privilege of an extended family, James
and Shirley McDill, Brady and Wendy Harrell, Jerry and Gina Parker, Ken and Joy
Ward and Robin Crotwell.
Memorials may be made in
his memory to the Madison County Sheriff’s Dept. or American Cancer Society.
