Jimmy Smith

Jimmy Jack Smith, 87, passed away Sun. Aug. 9, 2020 at the MS State Veterans Home in Jackson, MS. Graveside Services will be held at 10am on Thurs. Aug. 13, 2020 at the MS State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling arrangements.

Mr. Smith was born on March 23, 1933 in Neshoba County, MS to the late Ottis Smith and Mary Beckham Smith. He served his country during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Smith is survived by three daughters, Donna Smith, Sherri Hopkins (Jim) and Cynthia Morton; son, Richard Smith (Donna); six grandchildren, Shalon Hale, Jimmy Hopkins, Kirstie Hopkins, Crystal Brophy, April Davis and John Morton and seven great grandchildren.
