Jimmy Van JollyMorton, MSMr. Jimmy Van Jolly, age 50, a resident of Morton, passed away on April 23, 2014 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation was held 5-9pm Friday, April 25, 2014 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 11:00am Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton with graveside service held 2:00pm at Parkway Baptist Cemetery in Morton. Rev. Mickey Walls, Rev. Bob Smith, and Rev. Curtis Price officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.Mr. Jolly was born in Scott County in 1963. He is the son of Willie Van and Patricia Bethany Jolly. He was employed by the Department of Human Services as a Social Worker for the State of Mississippi. He was a graduate of Clarke College and held a Bachelor’s Degree of Biblical Studies. Mr. Jolly was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. He loved the Lord, loved to fish, and he loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews who gave him the nickname “Big Unc.” Mr. Jolly was preceded in death by his father, Willie Van Jolly; sister, Pamela Jolly Kelley; grandparents, Floyd and Lera Jolly; Chester and Laura Bethany. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Bethany Jolly of Morton; brother, Timmy Jolly (Cynthia) of Morton; nieces, Amber Warren (B.J.), Hannah Jolly; nephews, Matthew Jolly, Josh Kelley, Ben Kelley (Brittany); great-niece, Bethany Kelley; great-nephew, Blake Kelley; other loved ones and family members and all minister friends.
