Jimmy Clell Presley, 69, a resident Leesburg died Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS.
Funeral services were held 10:30 am Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton with interment in the Leesburg Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held 5:30-8:30 pm Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the funeral home. Rev. Dwight Varner and Rev. Ricky Ford officiated the services. Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Presley was a native of Scott Co. He was the son of Clell and Marie Lampkin Presley. He was retired from Dover Elevator after 34 years of service. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Mr. Presley had many hobbies such as, fishing, hunting, bowling and gardening. He was a very loving husband and father. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Presley was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Presley.
Mr. Presley is survived by his wife of 19 years Carolyn Patin Presley of Leesburg; children, Patti (Larry) Riley of Clinton, MS, Vicki Moore of Franklin, TN, and Ricky (Jimye) Ford of Fayette, GA; step children, Pam (Garrett)Boyd of Saltillo, MS, Angel (Jeff) Mathews of Pelahatchie, MS, and Ronnie (Staci) Simmons of Brandon, MS; sisters, Bobbie (Carl) Hilton of Florence, Barbara (Joe) King of Florence, and Maxine (Billy)Beard of Brandon, MS; sister-in-law, Jeri Presley of Jackson, MS; 16grandchilden; 3 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Tyler Boyd, Tanner Boyd, Adam Varner, Trent Eldridge, Cole Mathews, Williams Mathews and Tyler Ford. Honorary pallbearer was Steven Hilton.
