Jimmy Dale Richardson was born December 14, 1955 at Raleigh, to his parents: Lee and Odell Harrison Richardson. He passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Merit Health Rankin in Brandon at the age of 65.
He was a retired employee of Mississippi Bakery, Inc. at Pelahatchie and was a lifelong member of Gasque Chapel United Methodist Church in Smith County. He enjoyed being outdoors, working in his yard and gardening. As a “shade tree mechanic” Mr. Jimmy Dale will be remembered for his ability to tinker with equipment, even rebuilding truck engines and lawn mowers. Mr. Richardson loved his family very much, in particular, his great-nieces and great-nephew, as quoted by his wife, Mary Beth, “he worshipped the ground they walked on.” He was a loving husband, son, brother and uncle. He will be missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his father: Lee Richardson (2001); his brothers: Travis Lee Richardson (2017) and Little William Clarence Richardson (aged 9 months) and one sister in law: Gloria Richardson (2019).
Survivors include his wife of 33 years: Mary Beth Richardson, his mother: Odell “Sis” Richardson, three brothers: Mack (Mary) Richardson, Joe Richardson and Jerry (Cindy) Richardson, all of Pulaski; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great-nephews.
Ott & Lee Funeral Home, 295 East First St., Forest, MS served the Richardson family.
