Jimmy Darrell Gordon, Sr.

Jimmy Darrell Gordon, Sr., 79, a resident of Braxton, MS died Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at his home. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Richland, MS. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Friday at Lakeshore Baptist Church Cemetery in Florence, MS.
Rev. G. Tayloe Forkin will officiate the services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Richland, MS.
Mr. Gordon was a native of Shreveport, LA. He was the son of Vernon and Gertrude Parks Gordon. He was married to Carol Jeanne Colvin Gordon. Mr. Gordon worked many years for Yellow Freight as a truck driver. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Gertrude Parks Gordon; wife, Carol Jeanne Colvin Gordon; granddaughter, Jennifer Lee Thornhill and his brothers, Robert Gordon and Billy Gordon.
Mr. Gordon is survived by his children, Jimmy D. Gordon, Jr., Robert G. (Patricia) Gordon, Pamela F. Thornhill and Deborah K. (William) Copeland; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; serveral nices, nephews and a host of friends.
