Jo Crowell

Jo Marie Crowell, age 87, a resident of Forest died Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Mississippi Care Center in Morton following an extended illness.

Graveside services will be held at 11am  Saturday November 4, 2017from the Hillsboro Methodist Cemetery.  Visitation will  be held from 6pm to 8:30pm Friday, November 3, 2017 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.   Rev. Phillip Roland will officiate and Mrs. Charlotte Hawkins will give the eulogy.

Mrs. Crowell  was born on March 18, 1930 in Aberdeen, MS to her parents, K.P Britt and Hattie Lou Brashier Britt.  She was a Methodist.  She worked for the State of Georgia as a bookkeeper.  She later worked in Forest as a bookkeeper at a local business.  Mrs. Crowell enjoyed her friends and being with her family.  She always enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by  her parents and her husband of 43 years Thad M. Crowell.

Survivors include her  5 children; Jan Bass of Baton Rouge, LA.  Ben Crowell (Vickie) of Terry, MS.  Clair Kranzusch (Ray) of Roseville, CA.  Mike Crowell (Jennifer)  of Homewood, MS. Britt Crowell (Jan) of Hillsboro, MS.  She is also survived by a legacy of 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Pallbearers are Drew Crowell. Josh Ledford, Freddie Ledford, Brandon Chambers, Ricky Cox, and Jeffery Rogers.  Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Stephen Bass, Ray Kranzusch and Ryan Kranzusch.
