Jo Ann Johnson-Smith, 70, a resident of Pearl, MS passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at her home in Pearl, MS. A time of visitation and reflection will be held from 12-2 pm Monday, April 17, 2017 at 336 Greengate Circle, Brandon, MS 39042. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Mrs. Johnson was a native of Jackson, MS. She was the daughter of Loyd Long and Ersel Carr Long. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for John McNeil Law Firm. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd Long and Ersel Carr Long; sister, Diane Sanders; brother, Dean Long; niece, Cristy Ann Sanders; and great niece Teressa Elaine Sanders.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter, Teressa Johnson of Pearl, MS; granddaughter, Krista Johnson of Pearl, MS; brother, Glynn (Tanya) Long of Brandon, MS; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital 2500 N. State St., Jackson, MS 39216.
