Joe Joiner

Joe Clinton Joiner, age 79, a resident of Forest died Thursday May 22, 2014 at Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest.
Funeral services were conducted at 2pm Saturday May 24, 2014 from the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest with interment in the Damascus Cemetery. Rev. Nolan Pinter officiated.
Visitation was held from 5pm to 9 pm Friday May 23, 2014.
Mr. Joiner was born in Leake County on July 11, 1934 to his parents Leslie Joiner and Mattie K. Chamblee Joiner. He settled in the Hillsboro community where he resided for over 20 years. Mr. Joiner was a member of the Morton Pentecostal Lighthouse Church and later a member of Remnant Church in Sebastopol. He had worked in the poultry industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sons; Bobby Joe Joiner and Christler Wayne Joiner and a daughter: Glenda Kate Joiner Bell.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Anne Pinter Joiner, 1 daughter; Dorothy Ann Waller (William), Linda Marie Puckett (Ray), 1 brother; Roy Noel Joiner (Betty). He also leaves behind a legacy of 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
