Joe E. Majure died at Lackey Convalescent Home, Forest, Mississippi on December 21, 2016.
Mr. Majure was born on May 8, 1929, in Madden, Mississippi, and was predeceased in death by his parents, Andrew Leslie Majure and Fannie Hamil Majure. He was a graduate of Madden High School and Millsaps College. He lived in Forest, Mississippi where he had a successful insurance business for many years and was active in the Rotary Club, where he was named a Paul Harris Fellow.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 26, 2016, from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. and the service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home, Forest, Mississippi. Mr. Majure will be buried at a private interment at Madden Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be made given to the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum, 1152 Lakeland Drive, Jackson, Mississippi, 39216 or to the Madden Cemetery, c/o Wayne Brantley, Post Office Box 214, Madden, Mississippi, 39109.
