Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday, October 18, 2013 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in the Morton Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held 4-9 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Joe H. Sasnett, 68, a resident of Pearl died Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Funeral services were held 2 pm Friday, October 18, 2013 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in the Morton Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held 4-9 pm Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the funeral home. Rev. David Kile and Rev. Tim Myers officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sasnett was a native of Jacksonville, AL but has lived in Pearl many years. He was the son of Joseph and Rose Sasnett. He was married to Katheren Speed Sasnett. Mr. Sasnett was in the construction industry over 25 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being in the outdoors. He loved the Lord and church. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Sasnett was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rose Sasnett, step son, Steve Gatewood and 7 siblings.
Mr. Sasnett is survived by his wife of 42 years, Katheren Speed Sasnett of Pearl; children, Renee Sasnett of Ga, Kevin (Rebecca) Sasnett of Pearl, Rev. Robert (JoAnn) Gatewood of Polkville, Jimmy Gatewood of Little Rock, MS and Tammy Phillips of New Orleans, LA; sister, Edna Mae Sasnett, AL; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and a host of friends.
