John Fred Brown, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in Jackson, MS. Mr. Brown was a resident of Richland, MS. Graveside services will be at 3:30 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Richland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Richland, MS.
Mr. Brown retired after 33 years from Paine Supply of Jackson as salesman. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Richland and served as a Deacon for many years. Mr. Brown was a member of Plain Lodge #622 and was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and was a charter member of The Richland Exchange Club.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife, Willis Mae Brown; Parents Winfield Scott Brown and Mary Alice Brown and his sister, Rose Nell Hilton.
He is survived by two sons, Keith Brown and his wife Heidi and David Brown and his wife Tracy; one sister, Sue Boggan and her husband Joe and a brother, Harold Brown and his wife Willie Bea; two grandsons, Charley Brown and Timothy Brown and very special friends, Johnny and Lynn Pearson and family.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Richland or the American Cancer Society.
