John Dailey, Sr

December 29, 1960 — September 18, 2014

John Lester Dailey Sr., 53, passed away after a long fight with cancer on Thurs. Sept. 18, 2014 at his home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Sat. Sept. 20, 2014 from 2pm-2:45pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 3pm on Sat. Sept. 20, 2014 in the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS.
Mr. Dailey was born in Jackson, MS, has lived in Louisiana and was a current resident of Brandon, MS. He was a former member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church in Jackson, MS. Mr. Dailey was a collector of guns, knives, flashlights and owls. He enjoyed New Orleans Saints and LSU football, country music, and riding in his Ford Pickup.
Mr. Dailey is survived by his two sons, John Dailey Jr. of Brandon, MS and Keith Dailey of Kileen, TX; two sisters, Wanda Arender (Shan) of Brandon, MS and Judy Borill (Bryan) of Crowley, LA; three grandchildren, Camron Scot Dailey of Pensacola, FL, Annabelle Dailey of Slidell, LA and Lexi Dailey of Metairie, LA and eight nephews, Frank Arender of Brandon, MS, Robert Arender of Jackson, MS, Stuart Dailey of Monroe, LA, Josh Borill of Lafayette, LA, Jake Borill of Lafayette, LA, Kenny Prechtl of Madison, MS, Baxter Arender of Jackson, MS and Drake Dailey of Monroe, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, L.D. and Dorothy Dailey of Crowley, LA; three brothers, Ronnie Dailey of Jackson, MS, Jerry Dailey of Kaplan, LA and Robert Dailey of Houston, TX; wife, Paulette Dailey of New Orleans, LA and two nephews, Scot Dailey of Clinton, MS and Bradley Arender of Brandon, MS.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital Atten: Memorial Honor Program at P.O. Box 1000 Memphis, TN 38148-0552.
