John E. “Eddie” Grant, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on June 2, 2017. Visitation was Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Visitation continued from 1:00 until 2 pm Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Lakeland Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Flowood, MS with the Funeral Service at 2 pm. Rev. Steve Jussely and Rev. Jim Shull officiated. Mike Penn, Ray Weeks, Leslie Grant, John Bishop, Don Grant and Chase Brant served as pallbearers.
Eddie was born in Sunflower County, MS on March 4, 1931. He was a faithful member and deacon of Lakeland Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Flowood, MS. He retired from Cataphote as a field service representative.
Eddie was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nell Grant. He is survived by his daughter, Daphne Grant, son John Grant, Jr., granddaughter, Shelby Grant, brothers, Noell Grant, Jr. and Donnie Grant, and his sister, Martha Adams. Eddie loved his family very much. Spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be greatly missed by all who know and love him.
