John Gregory “Greg” Kelley, 60, went to be with the Lord on December 20, 2017 at Merit Health Rankin in Brandon, MS. Visitation was 1 until 2 pm Friday, December 22, 2017 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Funeral Services were 2 pm Friday from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home with burial in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery in Pelahatchie, MS. Rev. John Vaughn officiated and Glen Odom, Craig Odom, Butch Varner, Rod Varner, Derrick Scales, and Quin Allen served as pallbearers.
Greg was born on September 20, 1957 in Jackson, MS to the late Thomas Albert and Dorothy May Neely Kelley. He was a longtime resident of Rankin County, MS. He worked at Tom Kelley Chevrolet as an auto parts technician for over 12 years. While on a Mission Trip, he became ill and had several brain surgeries that left him unable to function by himself. He had spent several years at Brandon Nursing and Rehab. He was a member of Damascus Baptist Church in Crystal Springs.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Jeffrey Albert Kelley.
Survivors include his son, John G. Kelley, Jr. of Brandon, MS; his sister, Deborah Joan Thrash (Gary) of Sumner, GA; and his brother, Tommy Kelley (Connie) of Pelahatchie, MS; and one granddaughter, Kayla Kelley.
Memorials may be made to Brandon Nursing and Rehab in Brandon, MS.
