John Ed Rials, 82, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation is Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 5 until 8 pm and Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 1 pm until the 2 pm Chapel Service from the Chapel at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Burial will follow in Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland, MS.
John Ed Rials was born in Copiah County, Mississippi on August 9, 1933 to the late John M. and Louise Carlisle Rials. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had retired as a supervisor at Presto Manufacturing Company after more than 40 years. He had been a resident of Pearl for 54 years. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dixie Ruth Rials; his grandson, Jonathan Pendergrass; and his sister, Jamie Benson.
Survivors include his daughter, Sheryl Kennedy (Don) of Brandon, MS; his son, Butch Gates of Missouri; and six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
