John D. (Doug) Warren

John Douglas (Doug) Warren, 76, of Brandon, MS, passed away on June 13, 2024. 

Doug was born in Philadelphia, MS, and was raised in House, MS. He graduated from Provine High School in Jackson in the Class of ‘65. He also attended Hinds Community College and graduated from Mississippi College. After that he received his Master of Divinity Degree from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. 

Doug served several churches as Minister of Music or Pastor in Mississippi. The last church to call him their pastor and friend was Shiloh Baptist Church just outside of Vaiden. He was their pastor for the last thirty-six years. 

Doug was a bi-vocational pastor and he also worked for Vocational Rehab for more than forty years. He loved being able to minister to those in need. 

Doug is survived by his wife Kay, his son David and his daughter Laura Miller (Paul). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his nephew Robert Wilson.
