Funeral services for Mr. John Milton Edwards will be conducted Monday, September 7, 2015 at 2 PM from the Ott & Lee Chapel. Interment will follow in the Covenant Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 6, 2015 from 5 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home and on Monday, beginning at 1 PM prior to the funeral service.
John Milton Edwards was born in Scott County on February 4, 1941 to his parents, John D. & Christine Walters Edwards. He passed away Friday, September 04, 2015 at the Baptist Hospital in Jackson at the age of 74.
He was a lifetime resident of Scott County, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a retired truck driver and was known to be “set in his ways.” He was a member of Harperville United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son: John Thomas Edwards; his father: John D. Edwards and one brother: Tommy Edwards.
Survivors include his wife: Joann Edwards of Forest; his mother: Christine Edwards of Wichita, KS; one daughter: Jana (Bobby) Watson of Forest; and two step children: Myrley (John) Kyzar of Lake and Ray (Tina) Perkins of Richland; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters: Cathy Watson of Hillsboro and Sue Hamm of Forest; two brothers: Bobby Joe Edwards of Houston, TX and Donald Ray Edwards of Wichita, KS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
