Johnny Leach

Johnny E. Leach, 86, passed away at his home in Brandon, MS on Sat. Oct. 13, 2018. Visitation will be held on Tues. Oct. 16, 2018 from 5pm-7pm and on Wed. Oct. 17, 2018 from 10am-10:45am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 11am on Wed. Oct. 17, 2018 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with a 2pm graveside service to follow at the Old Walnut Grove Cemetery in Walnut Grove, MS.

Mr. Leach was born in Leake County, MS on Sept. 18, 1932 to the late Barney Hayes Leach and Alma Bell Leach and has been a longtime resident of Brandon, MS. He was a member of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church in Brandon, MS and a former member of Aldersgate Methodist Church in Jackson, MS. Mr. Leach was a longtime owner of National Exterminating Company and he also honorably served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Leach is survived by his children, John “Shell” Leach (Brenda), Diane Harmon (Ray), Greg Leach (Stacy), Karla Littleton (Lloyd) and Michelle Young (Randell); sister, Ruth Elam (Jimmy); brother, Tommy Leach; 12 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Mr. Leach is preceded in death by his wife, Reba Gay Leach; grandson, Justin Still and a brother, Sammy Leach.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church or to the Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital.
