Johnny Leon Walker, age 60, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at his residence.  His visitation was held 5-8pm Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Graveside service was held 11am Monday, June 19, 2017 at Rehobeth Baptist Cemetery.  Bro. Tal Vardaman  officiated the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.


Johnny Leon was born in Rankin County on December 8, 1956.  He loved collecting comic books and was a great artist.  Johnny Leon enjoyed cheering for the  the New Orleans Saints  and watching the Yankees play baseball.  He loved watching old movies.  He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.


He is preceded in death by his parents, John Gurvis Walker and Martha Ann Renfroe Walker.


He is survived by one sister, Terri Walker of Madison; 2 brothers, Scott Purcell (Tabetha) of Pulaski and Shay Purcell of Pelahatchie; cousin, Sherry Bell; step brother, Flash Walker; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were Daniel Walker, Flash Walker, William Purcell, Robbie Jones, Wayne Batte and Rusty Cross.
