John Rex “Buck” Quinn, Sr., 83, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016 at his home in Brandon. A memorial service will be held at 11 am Monday, September 5, 2016 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am at the funeral home. Rev. Floyd Steverson will officiate the services. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Mr. Buck was a native of Yazoo County, MS. He was the son of Frank Quinn and Vercil Rich Quinn. He worked as a security supervisor at Merit Health Rankin before retiring. Mr. Buck was Baptist by faith. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Buck was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Quinn and Vercil Rich Quinn; sons, Richard and Buster; grandsons, Christopher Breeding and Bruce Jacob; sisters, Ruby and Ruthie and brothers, Ed, Jimmy and Frank; former wives, Ruth and Nadine.
Mr. Buck is survived by his children, Paula, Rex Quinn, Jr., Vonciel, Tracy, Rachelle, Tonya, Bubba, Tammy, Lori, and Little Tracy; daughter in law, Rosenda; brothers, Robert Quinn and George Lee; twenty four grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; former wife, Rita; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
