Jonathan Gilbert, 32, a resident of Byram, MS died Sunday, March 15, 2015. A memorial service will be held 1 pm Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Visitation will be held from 11 am until 1 pm at the funeral home. Rev. Floyd Steverson will officiate the services. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.
Mr. Gilbert was a native of Hinds County and was the son of Milessa Gayle Oliver Thomas and Clarence A. Gilbert, Jr. He was married to Amy Sager Gilbert whom he loved very much. Mr. Gilbert worked for McInvale Heating and Air, Inc. He was Baptist by faith and loved the Lord. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Gilbert was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wiley Charles Oliver and uncle, Charles Ray Oliver.
Mr. Gilbert is survived by his wife, Amy Gilbert; children, Jonathan Daniel Gilbert, Jr., Rileigh Tolbert and Caitlynn Gilbert; parents, Milessa (Dwayne) Thomas and Clarence A. (Debbie) Gilbert, Jr.; brother, Timothy Gilbert; grandparents, Clarence A. Gilbert, Sr, Elizabeth Gilbert, Johnnie Oliver and step grandmother, Ruth Thomas; aunts, Sharon Mauldin and Brenda Byrd; uncles, Johnny Gilbert, Gary Oliver and Lloyd (Paula) Thomas; numerous step aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
