Joseph Travis Sheppard, 65, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at his home. Visitation is today, July 3, 2012 from 5 – 9 pm and Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at 9 am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Richland. Funeral Services are 10 am Wednesday, July 4, 2012 from the Chapel of Ott & Lee with burial to follow in the Richland City Cemetery with Military Honors.
Joshua 24:15 “…as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”. Joseph Sheppard lived and breathed this with all his heart. He faithfully served the Lord 44 years, his Country 23 years, and retired from the City of Richland.
He was blessed with a loving wife, Margo of 45 years; his children, Helen D. Sheppard of Richland, Tammy W. Sheppard of Richland, Jeanine M. Williams of Clarksville, TN, Jodie R. Sheppard and wife, Melissa of Florence, Lydia K. Williams and her husband, David of Richland, and John A. Sheppard and his wife, Susan of York, PA; two sisters, Tommie D. Roberts of Richland and Louise Stephenson and her husband, Frank of Florence, MS; and thirteen grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
