Joseph Vincent Tynes, 53, a resident of Pearl, MS, passed away Sat. May 13, 2017 at the University Of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Wed. May 17, 2017 from 10am-11:45am at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pearl, MS. Funeral Mass will be 12pm on Wed. May 17, 2017 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pearl, MS with a 3pm Graveside Service to follow at Highland Cemetery in Hattiesburg, MS. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling funeral arrangements.
Mr. Tynes was born in Hattiesburg, MS and was a longtime resident of Pearl, MS where he was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. He was the owner of a fireproofing and construction company known as Tynco. Mr. Tynes enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and playing golf in which he had a history of three holes in one. Most of all, Mr. Tynes loved spending time with his family and extended family which included his neighborhood at Patrick Farms.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Linda Tynes; two children, James Quin Tynes and Maria Madeline Tynes; grandchild, McKayla R. Tynes; parents, Joe and Linda Tynes and a sister, Stephanie Lynn Massey. Mr. Tynes is preceded in death by his grandparents, V.L. and Mae Bell Simpson, Quin and Vera Tynes and his father and mother in law, James A. and Corneil M. Riley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Miss. Division Inc. at 1380 Livingston Lane Jackson, MS 39213.
