Joseph Curtis Parker, age 60, a resident of Pulaski passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Rolling Acres Retirement Center in Raleigh, MS. Visitation was held 4-8pm Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Graveside service was held 10am Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at New Goodhope Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Mickey Walls and Rev. Joe Crane officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Joseph was born in Lauderdale County on May 31, 1953. He loved to deer hunt and was an avid Jeff Gordon fan. One of his things he looked forward to was drinking his chocolate milkshakes every week. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Elma Norwood Scott; stepmother, Leola Parker; brother, Thomas Parker; step brother, Tommie Parkman; grandmothers, Eloise Castle and Cora Miles; grandfathers, Curtis Thomas Parker Sr. and James Wallace Norwood.
He is survived by his father, Curtis Thomas Parker Jr. of Pulaski; 3 children, Wesley Parker (Kathleen)of TX, Steven Parker (Abigail) of TX and Angelia Parker Johnson (Terry) of Morton; sister, Cheryl Parker of Morton; 2 grandchildren, Addie Parker and Lanie Grace Johnson; step sister, Angie Parkman; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
