Josephine Briley Fulton, 98, loving wife and mother, passed away on December 14, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, MS. Josephine was born August 10, 1912 in Scottsville (Allen County), Kentucky to Charles Browning Briley and Bessie Myrtle Foster Briley. She attended Bowling Green University School of Business, where she met her husband of 52 years, Wilton Cooper Fulton. Josephine and Wilton were married on May 12, 1934. Wilton passed away on September 21, 1986. Josephine was a past member of Daniel Memorial Baptist Church of Jackson. As a young adult, she pursued her love of flowers and gardening through her membership in Jackson garden clubs, and was a past member of the Jackson Junior Review Book Club.

She is survived by one sister, Cathenia Rasmussen of Sanger, CA; two sons, Robert W. Fulton and wife, Teresa A. Fulton of Florence, MS and Ben Briley Fulton of Richmond, Virginia; grandsons, Eric Fulton and wife, Amber of Raleigh, MS and Cooper Fulton of Florence, MS; granddaughters, Dr. Lori Fulton and husband, David Jones of Raymond, MS and Lee Fulton of Ridgeland, MS; and great grandsons, Andrew Fulton and Samuel Fulton.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 17, 2010 at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Richland, MS with Pastor Grady Fulton Officiating. Visitation for friends and family will be from 11 until 1 pm Friday at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baptist Children’s Village in Ridgeland, MS.
