Joshua Douglas Rouse, age 32, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 27, 2012.
Services will be held at Lakelawn Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard, New Orleans 70124 on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 with Visitation beginning at noon, a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM followed by Interment at Lakelawn.
Josh, born January 29, 1980, was a native of Flowood, MS and currently resided in Ocoee, FL. He graduated in 1999 from Brandon High School and then attended & graduated from Holmes Community Mortuary College in Ridgeland, MS. He was a 3rd generation funeral director and loved helping people any way he could in their times of need. He had a true passion for the funeral business. Joshua has worked as a funeral director at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in New Orleans, LA before relocating to Central FL where he had previously worked at Woodlawn and Brewer and Sons Funeral Homes and currently the managing funeral director for Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Homes, Apopka Chapel in Apopka, FL.
Survivors include his loves of his life, his wife, Danielle Reynolds Rouse and his son, Joshua “J.J.” Rouse, Jr., both of Ocoee, FL; his mother, Catherine Jenkins Campbell of Pearl, MS; his father, Doug Rouse of Brandon, MS; his one sister and brother-in-law, Shion and Matthew Jones of Pearl, MS; his in-laws or 2nd parents, Daniel and Arlene Reynolds of Gretna, LA; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Ashley and Fred Tarullo of Gretna, La. and numerous family, friends and co-workers.
