Joy Jeanette Ethridge, 74,went home to be with Jesus on Sat. Jan. 14, 2012 at the St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held Tues. Jan. 17, 2012 from 4pm.-6pm. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Memorial Services will follow at 6pm. in the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Wilson officiating.
Mrs. Ethridge was born June 7, 1937 in Morton, MS. She was a longtime resident of Scott and Rankin Counties in Mississippi. She was a faithful servant of the Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. Mrs. Ethridge was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She also loved the affection of her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She was a diligent homemaker, a great cook, and a friend to all who knew her. She loved “doing” things for others as much as possible. She is preceded in death by her brother, Ed Green of Florence.
She is survived by her husband, Milton Ethridge of Pearl; her daughter, Renee Clark (Barry) of Florence; her son, Tony Ethridge (Lynda) of Brunswick, GA; four grandchildren, Brent and Michael Clark both of Florence, Laura Wodniak (Daniel) of Centennial, CO, Chris Ethridge of Houston, TX and one great-grandchild, Cayla Joy Wodniak of Centennial, CO. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
