Joyce Faye Shuler, age 70, a resident of Forest died Sunday February 24, 2013 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland following and extended illness
Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Tuesday February 26, 2013 at OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest with interment in the Salem Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5pm-8pm Monday. Rev. Wesley Lovern officiated the services.
Mrs. Shuler was born in Scott County on June 20, 1942 to Willie Huey Perkins and Oma Monk Perkins. She was a member of the New Life Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Walnut Grove.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband William Haywood Shuler.
Survivors include her 5 children; William T. Shuler, Michelle Boswell, Lesa Burnham (Ricky), Linda Dukes (Morgan) all of Forest and Peggy Moore (Jimmy) of Canton. She is also survived by 2 brothers; David Perkins of Magee and Earl Perkins (Marie) of Forest. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, also a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Hubert Shuler, Jessie Clark, Randy Sutterfield, Steven Sutterfeild, Matthew Boswell and Howard Goodson. Honorary pallbearer will be Arnold Knowles.
