Joyce Wagner

Joyce Ellen Wagner, 78, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Merit Health Rankin.  Visitation will be 9:30 until 11:00am Thursday, February 3, 2022, with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 11:00am in the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.

Mrs. Wagner was born in El Reno, OK on September 1, 1943, to the late George Cecil Edgar and Ellen Rice Edgar.  Joyce worked in the Aero Space Lab at University of Oklahoma for many years.  Joyce was a very devoted and supportive wife and mother.  She and her husband, Tice were married in 1962, and have lived in several different states including Texas, Arkansas, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Mississippi.

She loved to bowl and playing cards with her girls’ group.  She also loved to take cruises and traveling and has visited all 50 states with her family. Joyce never met a stranger and always made a friend wherever she went.

Survivors include her husband Tice Henry Wagner, III; son, Tice Bradley Wagner of Pearl ,MS; daughter, Corrine Wagner Carpenter (Eric) of Brandon, MS; and grandchildren, Kyle Bryant (Paula) and Meghan Carpenter.  She was preceded in death by a son, David Kyle Wagner and parents, George and Ellen Rice Edgar.
