Joyce Huff Arender, 78, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation is 5-7 pm Tuesday April 26, 2016 and 10 am Wednesday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 11 am Wednesday at the funeral home with burial in Antioch Cemetery in Rankin County.
Mrs. Arender was a native and lifelong resident of Rankin County and was a member of Park Place Baptist Church in Pearl where she was very active in her Sunday School Class and Senior Adults. Mrs. Arender had worked for many years at Deposit Guaranty National Bank, Bancorp South and loved spending time with her family, especially taking care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed working in her yard, tending to her flowers, reading, playing solitaire and was an excellent cook and shared that gift with many.
Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Ormon (Shane) of Clinton; grandchildren, Grae, Rivers, Collins and her Yorkie, “Macy”; sisters, Norma Faye Winstead of Mayton, Joan Stanford of New Albany and Sandra Gray of Pelahatchie; brother, James Huff of Brandon. She was preceded in death by husband of 53 years, Robert Cleon Arender and brother, Hal Huff.
