Juanita “Nita” Hines Kier, 76, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation is 6 – 8 pm Monday, January 9, 2012 and 10 – 10:40 am Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Richland, MS. Graveside Services are 11 am Tuesday at Sinai Cemetery in Florence, MS.Juanita Hines was born on January 22, 1935 to the late Elton D. and Lula Mae Morgan Hines in Rankin County, MS. Juanita was a longtime resident of Rankin County and married L. D. Kier on July 3, 1953.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Florence.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, L. D. Kier of Florence, MS; one daughter, Duann Kier of Florence, MS; her sister, Claudia Faye Hood of Nairobi, Africa. Other survivors include her niece Martha Stevens and two nephews, Jason and Timothy Hood.
