Judy Ann Goss, 48, a resident of Morton died Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Scott Regional Hospital in Morton. Graveside services were held Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Hodge Hill Cemetery in Morton. Visitation was held Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Rev. Dave Holt officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Goss was a native of Scott Co. and was the daughter of Allen Thweatt and Barbara Taylor. She worked as a waitress for many years. Ms. Goss was Baptist by faith. She loved her family and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Ms. Goss was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marvin and Edna Thweatt, and John Dean and Zeddie Jones.
Ms. Goss is survived by her children, Joanie Goss (Pete Martin) of Morton, and Jessica (Guy) Hodges of Morton; longtime companion, Michael McLemore of Morton; father, Allen Thweatt of Morton; mother, Barbara (Paul) Taylor of Pulaski, sisters, Angie (Tommy) McCrory of Morton, and Jennifer (Brian) Renfroe of Branch; brother, Bobby (Roma) Thweatt of Pulaski; 4 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Christopher McCrory, Tommy McCrory, Kevin Martin, Frank McCaughn, Larry Meeks, and Dwight Loper.
