Judy Lou Smith Bowen, 91, passed away Sun. Nov. 27. 2016 at Peach Tree Village Nursing Home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Fri. Dec. 2, 2016 from 10am-10:20am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 10:30am on Fri. Dec. 2 ,2016 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with a 2:30pm Fri. graveside service following at the Merchant Cemetery in Smith County, MS.
Mrs. Bowen was born in Wolverine, KY, lived in Crystal Springs, MS for 25 years, Waveland, MS for 30 years and has been a resident of Brandon, MS since 2005. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Waveland, MS. Mrs. Bowen enjoyed sewing, quilting and knitting. She was a hard worker but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. Bowen is survived by her two children, Linda Garth and Lea Patrick (Donnie); two sisters, Maggie Beckwith and May Fields; four grandchildren, Daniel Garth, Jeff Garth, Darlene Garth and Lea Ann Channell and eight great grandchildren, Jeannie Wheeler, Bowen Garth, Harley Garth, Hannah Patrick, Catherine Patrick, Timothy Patrick Jr., Taylor Channell and Lucy Channell. Mrs. Bowen is preceded in death by her husband, Odis Bowen; grandson, Timothy Wayne Patrick; five brothers and four sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Merchant Cemetery c/o Ray L. Ainsworth at 5556 SCR 503 Raleigh, MS 39153.
