Julia C. Marshall, 105, passed away Mon. Oct. 10, 2016 at Brandon Nursing and Rehab Center in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Wed. Oct. 12, 2016 from 4pm-7pm and on Thurs. Oct. 13, 2016 from 2pm-2:45pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 3pm on Thurs. Oct. 13, 2016 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery in Jackson, MS.
Mrs. Marshall was born and raised in Kemper County, MS where she graduated from East Mississippi Community College and taught school at Shuqualak, MS. In 1937, Mrs. Marshall moved to Jackson, MS where she worked for 17 years at Pitney-Bowes as a Secretarial Manager until her retirement. Mrs. Marshall was an active member of Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon, MS and she always tried to live a dignified and simple life.
She is survived by her son, Tommy Marshall (Donna); step daughter, Georgia Marshall; 5 grandchildren, Todd Lovitt (Stacey), Brent Lovitt (Margaret), Chance Brown, Allyson Reich, David Everett and 10 great grandchildren. Mrs. Marshall is preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Marshall; daughter, Stella Marshall Patrick and a great granddaughter, Katelyn Lovitt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Miss. Division, INC at 1380 Livingston Lane Jackson, MS 39213.
