Julia H. Jenkins, 77, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation is 5-8 pm Tuesday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and 9 am Wednesday at Shiloh United Methodist Church with services to follow at 10 am Wednesday. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Rev. Ron McDougald will officiate.
Mrs. Jenkins, a native and lifelong resident of Rankin County was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. She worked in the banking industry for many years, retiring in 1982 due to health reasons. She then became a homemaker and loved working in her yard and garden.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Thrash (Tommy) of the Shiloh Community; son, Jeffery H. Jenkins of Fayetteville, TN; brother, Hoy G. Hawkins of Brandon; grandchildren, Jessica Shamburger (Sandy), Josh Thrash (Susan) and Emily Bhika (Jude); great grandchildren, Ann Claire, Charlie, Eden, Asha, Zoe, Elizabeth and Reid. Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her husband, Reid H. Jenkins in 1993.
