June Ries, age 80, a resident of Jackson passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010 at home. A Memorial Service will be held 2pm Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Clinton, Ms. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ries is a native of Johannesburg, South Africa and has lived in the Jackson area for 48 years. She loved to sew, do leather work and paint. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was known as the, “Rock of Gibralter,” by her wonderful husband of 55 years. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas William McIsaac and Florentina VanHough McIsaac; sister, Joy McKay and brother, Dalmain McIsaac.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Ries; children, Sonya Sanders(Charlie) of Forest, Verena Miller(Steve) of Raymond, Charles L. Ries(Rechelle) of Pelahatchie, Christopher Ries of Wooster, Ohio and Thomas Ries(Kim) of Florence and 9 grandchildren, Jonathan and Matthew Sanders. Robert and Adrianne Miller, Joshua, Olivia, Jessica and Caleb Ries and Johnathon Tucker.
