June (Patricia) Shoop (nee Ackley), a 40 year resident of Brandon, MS, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 2, 2017. She was 88 years old. Her husband of 66 years, Wesley L. Shoop, Sr., passed away seven months earlier. Together, they raised four children. In addition to her role as mother and homemaker, she had a 24 year career in real estate in the Jackson area.
Mrs. Shoop was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN and attended Peabody College, where she met her husband. Spending time with her family was her joy in life.
She is survived by four children, Wesley, Debbie (Ron), Lynn (Scott), and Stephen (Marlene); three grandchildren, Steffanie (Rachel), Kristen (Justin), and Matthew; and two great grandchildren, Huxley and Peyton; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 at 6 pm from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will begin at 5 pm at the Funeral Home.
