Junuis Fredrick Stewart, 91, a resident of Brandon died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the V.A. Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday, January 28, 2011 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in Hillsboro Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held 5-8pm Thursday at the funeral home and 8:30am till 1:45pm today. Rev. Richard Cox will officiate the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton will be in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Stewart was the son of Bailey G. and Maude McDonald Stewart. He was married to Christine P. Stewart. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during W.W. II and was a disabled veteran. Mr. Stewart was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed boating and boating activities. His family has very fond memories of the boating activities, road trips and the time they spent with their father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his parents, Bailey G. and Maude McDonald Stewart, wife, Christine Pennington Stewart, son, Herbert G. Stewart, and sisters, Christine S. Smith and Zelma Rhea Stewart.
Mr. Stewart is survived by his son, Gerald (Brenda) Stewart of Montgomery, TX and daughter, Carolyn (Sammy) Collins of Brandon; sisters, Imagene Clack of Pearl and Lula Rhea Smithhart of Pearl; grandchildren, Shane Stewart of New Orleans, Lisa Stewart Comer (Scott) of Brandon, Staci Stewart Johnson (Taylor) of Houston, TX, Ashley Stewart Wenmohs (Cale) of Houston, TX and Jason Michael Collins of Brandon; great grandchildren, Mackenzie Katherine Comer of Brandon, William Brody Comer of Brandon, Savannah Marie Collins of Brandon, Jackson Cole Collins of Brandon, Kendall Paige Wenmohs Houston, TX, Parker Stewart Johnson of Houston, TX, Ally Christine Johnson of Houston, TX and Conner Dean Johnson of Houston, TX.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Clack, Larry Clack, Ronnie Pennington, Eugene Pennington, Don Pennington and Wayne Pennington.
