Katherine Harrell

Katherine Janeece Harrell, age 73, a resident of Pelahatchie died Monday January 22, 2018 following an extended illness.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2pm Wednesday  January 24, 2018 from the Eastside Baptist Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm Tuesday January 23, 2018 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home of  Morton.

Mrs. Harrell was born on Sunday September 10, 1944 in Rankin County to her parents Cleveland Davis Renfroe and Lela Mae Atkinson Renfroe.  She was a longtime member of Eastside Baptist Church in Pelahatchie.  She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, especially yellow roses.  She also was a big fan of Elvis music.  Several years ago, she was active in selling Home Interior.  She enjoyed being with family and friends.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Oley Harrell, a  son Howard Lee Walker and a

daughter Karen Lynn Barnes.

Survivors  include her 3 children; Judy Lyles of Pelahatchie, Lisa Walker also of Pelahatchie and Crissy (David) Cain of Morton.  Other  survivors include  her 3 brothers; Marvin Porter of Brandon, MS.  Johnnie (Diana) Renfroe of Pelahatchie,  Lin (Lindy) Renfroe of Vancouver, WA.  4 sisters; Gloria Conger of Pelahatchie, Olivia "Libby" Ivy also of Pelahatchie, Wanda McClain of Brandon and Peggy Conger of Vancouver, WA.  She also leaves behind a legacy of 12 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren as well as a host of friends, numerous nieces and nephews.
