Kathryn Denson

January 2, 1959 — April 14, 2016

Funeral services for Mrs. Kathryn Faye Denson will be conducted on Sunday afternoon, April 17, 2016 at 2:30 pm from the Tuscola Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in the Parker Family Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.


Visitation will be Saturday evening, April 16, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home and on Sunday thirty minutes prior to the services at the church.


Kathryn Faye Denson was born January 2, 1959 at Carthage, and passed away April 14, 2016 at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.


She was a lifelong resident of Leake County, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Favorite pass times were cooking and reading. Mrs. Kathryn will be remembered as a wonderful caregiver and a lady who loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Tuscola Baptist Church where she regularly participated in church activities and all functions of the church.


She is preceded in death by her parents: S.E. and Marie Shields Babb.


Survivors include her husband of 40 years: Bennie Denson of Lena; three children: Barry (Samantha) Denson of Madison; Heather Sutton of Brandon; and Josh (Melissa) Denson of Clinton; one sister: Wanda (James) Hudgins of Kosciusko; and one brother: Danny (Pam) Babb of Lena; three grandchildren: Evelyn Sutton, Nathan Denson and Taylor Denson; nine nieces and four nephews.
